I just watched this movie. A documentary that follows Ferran Adrià as he experiments, plans, develops and eventually serves a menu at El Bulli.
The film has literally had me in tears. I cry because his food (and his extensive team) is beautiful, astounding, wonderful and bewildering. I cry because here is a man that is truly avant guard and I am in genuine awe. I cry because I will never have the opportunity to dine at El Bulli (he closed the restaurant to set up an academy). Finally I cry because I am so jealous of someone who can do so much, dedicating the time and resources to perfecting his craft.
He is an artist in the traditional sense in that he leads, directs and motivates a team of extraordinary people.
